Xero integrations and reporting
Xero is the cloud accounts package your accountant probably recommended, and its data tap is the best in the business. Almost anything can be wired to it; the question is what's worth wiring.
What its API makes possible
Everything Xero knows, cash, debtors, sales, bills, can be read out live, and invoices and contacts can be written in. In outcome terms: your job system can post its own invoices, and the numbers you ask the bookkeeper for can sit on a screen instead.
What we typically build
The MD's morning screen
Cash, aged debt, sales this month against last. The numbers you'd ask for anyway. A few days.
Job system into Xero
Completed jobs become draft invoices with the right customer and lines. Usually one to two weeks.
Margin by customer
Xero's invoices joined to your job system's costs. Who actually makes you money. About a week.
What Xero already does well
Xero's own reporting is good, and its app marketplace is enormous. If a £30-a-month marketplace app does what you need, buy it and don't ring us. Where we earn our keep is when the other end of the connection is something without an off-the-shelf app: a print MIS, a weighbridge, a twenty-year-old job system, or Sage 50.
